올해 초 전 세계를 강타했던 감동의 영화 "The Passion of the Christ"에서 영감을 받은 서로 다른 쟝르의 아티스트들이 모여 새로운 곡으로 채운 새 앨범이 8월말 출시됐다.
앨범의 타이틀은 글자 그대로 " The Passion of the Christ : Songs".
이 앨범에는 CCM계에서 Steven Curtis Chapman, MercyMe, Third Day, Kirk Franklin, BeBe Winans 등을 비롯하여 Creed의 전 멤버 Scott Stapp, P.O.D, MxPx, Charlotte Church, Lauryn Hill등 다양한 아티스트들이 참여했다.
특히 앨범의 오프닝 곡인 'I See Love'는 Third Day와 Steven Curtis Chapman, MercyMe가 함께 불러 오는 9월 2일에는 인기 토크쇼인 Jay Leno의 Tonight Show에서 공연을 가지기도 할 예정이다.
영화의 감동이 다시 한번 이 앨범을 통해 오랜 시간 기억에 남으리라 생각된다.
